To say that Karen and I are forever connected to Christ Worship Center is an understatement. After graduating from college and serving as an evangelist for a year, I was honored to come to CWC as youth pastor in 1986. Karen and I had met at church youth camp and had been selected to go to International Youth Camp in Colorado to receive training as camp workers in 1982. Over the course of the next 7 years, we became best friends and I can truly say I married my best friend on August 12, 1989 here at CWC.

In 1991, we began our pastoral ministry and have been blessed to pastor some wonderful people in Hoschton, GA, Fayetteville, GA, and Jonesboro, GA. Karen worked as a school teacher and has made a difference in so many lives through her teaching career. In March of 1998, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was told she would need to go on disability. However, through the grace of God, and her strength of will and sheer grit, she was able to continue teaching and retired after 30 years of service in 2016. After completing my Masters, I completed a 2 year internship and became a certified Chaplain through C.P.E. and began a ministry in chaplaincy. Chaplaincy was a very rewarding work and out of 25 years of chaplaincy, 23 were spent ministering to the dying through Hospice. I was content in chaplaincy and was sure that it was what I would be doing until retirement. However, in late May of 2021 things began to change. As my dear friend Bishop Dannie Hix announced his retirement as Pastor of CWC, some CWC members began to ask if I would consider being the pastor of this great congregation. After much prayer, I began to feel a burden for CWC. It was a big move and my precious wife was willing to leave her dream home, and along with her father Joe, move to Marietta.

We made the move because we love our God and CWC. We believe that God wants to touch and bless others through the ministry of CWC. We have been amazed at how God is helping put together structure to support a flourishing ministry. We are grateful for how God is putting together a ministry team that will continue to share this glorious Gospel to a lost and dying world.
